About this blog

This blog started as a class project — my senior seminar using social media to study social media.  It has turned into something more.

I have learned that a lot of people want to talk about the changes that are taking place in the arts and arts management.  Some of these changes are due to the increased use of social media and digital technology, but not all of them.  Since September 2010, we have talked about innovative programming, ethical and legal issues, audience and community engagement, and other fun stuff — all wrapped into the more comprehensive topic of how changes in society are affecting the arts.

In the meantime, I’m learning a lot, both in the effort to keep one step ahead of my students, and by the fantastic comments others are leaving.  I welcome your input!

The header, by the way, is Picasso’s Moulin de la Galette.
